meet our trainee ~ güneş guven

in anticipation of our traineeship which will be open for applications on earth day - 22nd april 2025, we will be sharing the stories over the coming months of some of our trainees and what inspired them to embark on this training to learn how to facilitate learning and nature connection for others.

güneş is a teacher, creative facilitator & writer and a trainee on our current forest school leader cohort. she is also going to be working with us in the forest on our camps as part of her traineeship. in her words:

"by undergoing forest school leader training, i aim to leverage nature as a platform for empowerment and inclusion. forest school principles emphasise holistic development, environmental stewardship, and fostering a sense of belonging in natural spaces. the outcome of this training will enable me to design and facilitate nature-based programming that not only reconnects individuals with the natural world but also provides a safe and welcoming environment for exploring identity, building resilience, and fostering community bonds. by engaging underrepresented and marginalised communities in meaningful outdoor experiences, i hope to contribute to a more equitable and inclusive society where everyone has access to the transformative benefits of nature."

our next forest school leader training begins october 2025 and is open for bookings. our fully funded traineeship which begins autumn 2025 and includes the forest school leader training will open for applications on earth day - april 22nd 2025.
